Beaten Black and Red

‘Could it have been any more easy?’ he wondered. The Red X walked away from the “top security” museum carrying “The Light of Space” under his arm wrapped in a towel. He jumped up and landed on the roof of the nearest building. He was running along grinning to himself when he suddenly noticed a girl standing right in front of him. He stooped dead in his tracks and looked at her through his masked. Although she was probably older than him she was ruggedly attractive. She had long black hair that came down to her back. She resembled on of the Teen titans and he could swear her eyes where glowing purple.
“I will take the star now” she said holding out a hand.
“Whatever happened to honor among thieves?” Red X asked,
“What do thieves know of honor?” the girl responded,
“If you do not give me the star I will be forced to take it from you” she said pulling her hand into an attack pose. Red X also assumed an attack position.
“You can try” Red X said smiling behind his mask. The girl flew up into the air and starting shooting what looked like Starbolts at him. He simply dodged them and jumped up and grabbed her,
“What are you?” he asked in her face. She was struggling with flying with the weight of both of them,
“I’m a Tamarian,” she said pushing him off of her and he landed on his feet. He ran after her, jumped up and began kicking at her,
“Then you know Starfire of the Teen Titans?” he asked, landing on the building again and dodging more starbolts.
“Know her is mildly put, I am her older sister!” she yelled and shot lasers out of her eyes which he dodged easily again.
“I am Blackfire, who are you?” Red X stood up straight and shot an X out of his hand. It wrapped itself around her and she fell on the roof with a thud. He approached her and took in some more o her beauty before speaking.
“I’m called Red X,” he told her. He then reached up and pulled the mask off. Blackfire gasped.
“You…” she said struggling at the binds,
“It’s actually not what you think,” he said putting the mask back on,
“If my sister only knew… You would be already dead!” she yelled, Red X walked to the edge of the building.
“No. Robin would be dead, but like I said” Red X turned back to face her but she had broken free of the binds and was not there. When Red X turned to run of the edge of the building she was hovering in his face. She reached out and took the bundle from his grip. She then pulled off his mask again,
“Who are you?” she asked. Red X snagged his mask back and put it on.
“Maybe one day you’ll know” he back flipped away from Blackfire and jumped over the other end of the building. When she flew over to see where he went, he was nowhere in sight. Blackfire grinned in victory and flew up high and opened the towel.
“What?!” she screamed. She picked up the cement brick in the bundle and almost crushed it in her bare hand.
“What a cheap trick!” she said tossing the block as hard she could in the direction of the Titan Tower. Her anger cooled and she began to giggle. He had an irresistible charm and was cute like the real Robin, and he was so mysterious. She was intrigued to say the least. She sighed and floated down onto the rooftop where they battled and stared up at the stars.
“Well played mystery boy, well played.”

A few weeks went by and Blackfire found herself wishing she could see Red X again. She decided to go on the hunt for him. How hard could it be? It turned out to be more difficult the she had anticipated. Then one night when she was just giving up, BOOM! There was a big explosion and Blackfire saw the smoke rising from a building not far from her. Out of the rubble jumped Red X hoisting a bag of electronic equipment over his shoulder. Blackfire zoomed in and he jumped up on to the roof of the building across the street. Blackfire zeroed in on him and began to shoot starbolts. Red X jumped to dodge them and Blackfire talked him out of the air. They landed with Red X underneath Black fire holding her glowing hands away from him.
“You fooled me with that cheap trick! Do you have no honor?” she shouted,
“What do thieves know of honor?” Red X replied. Blackfire wrenched her hand free and ripped off Red X’s mask. There was silence as Blackfire’s hands stopped glowing and her eyes as well had dimmed. They stared at each other for a second and then the both leaned into each other and they kissed. Red X was taken by sweet surprise. Long had he watch is good counterpart with Starfire. Now he had a girl of his own. Blackfire smiled as they continued to kiss in the moonlight. If she couldn’t have Robin then she could have something better.
“Blackfire?” Starfire’s voice came and the stopped kissing. The Teen Titans had arrived to see what the explosion was for. Red X looked away and put his mask back on.  
“Were you just gukriesing him?” Starfire asked, Black fire zoomed up in the air and went into battle stance eyes once again burning violet. Red X got up and also took fighting stance.
“So what if I was?” Blackfire asked,
“Whoa…” Raven said with her mouth hanging open,
“Dude that is going the list of weirdest things I have seen” Beast boy said rubbing his eyes. Robin wasn’t as phased he went into fighting pose.
“We don’t have time for that now,” He said crossly.
“Titans GO!” Robin shouted and they attacked. Red X looked over at Blackfire and she looked at him smiled and winked. Looks like they’d be fighting together on this one.

A month later the Teen titans entered a top-secret laboratory, the lights were out and the only thing showing them where to go was the red emergency lights.
“What’s the deal with this place?” Cyborg asked as they walked down the dark hall,
“Weapons manufacturing” Robin told them,
“But that’s not what the intruder is after” he finished,
“What do you mean?” Starfire said,
“A leading weapons research facility, what does someone break into it for if they don’t want weapons?” Cyborg asked,
“Xenothium” Robin said. Everyone immediately understood and was quiet to the end of the hall. Cyborg was just about to open the sliding door when BOOM! The door exploded and smoke filled the whole facility. Sprinklers nearby went off soaking them all to the bone in seconds. Out of the dust hand in hand walked Red X and Blackfire.
“You two” Robin said going into fighting pose the other Titans did the same. Blackfire looked at Red X and smiled, Red X did the same behind his mask and pulled out a bottle of red liquid. Robin jumped forward and yelled,
“The Xenothium!” but they disappeared in another cloud of smoke.
“No dammit!” Robin tackled air and landed in a puddle of water on the other side of the door. The other titans ran over the rubble that was once a door and wall as the sprinkles turned off and the lights came back on. Starfire looked at her feel and saw a piece of paper.
“They left us a note” Starfire said picking it up. All the Titans gathered around as Cyborg took it and read it:

Dear Titans,

Hope you are not injured. For the next time we meet we hope that we can engage in combat. Know now, together we know more about your weaknesses then you could ever imagine. Continue to fight hard titans; we will look forward to our next meeting.

Black & Red

Robin stood up and water dripped from his costume,
“Robin?” Starfire asked as he passed,
“Our troubles are only increasing,” he said lowly. He began to walk to the exit still dripping wet, the others followed.  
  
Red X carried Blackfire into the room and they both laughed as Red X put her down and collapsed on the couch, Blackfire sat beside him and leaned on his shoulder and he took off his mask.
“What a rush” he said sighing, Blackfire took his hand and began to play with his glove. Eventually Blackfire asked,
“What our next heist?” Red X sat up making her sit up too,
“I’m not sure,” he said,
“I guess we’ll lay low for a while,” he told her getting up. He stretched and she came up from behind grabbed him and hissed in his ear,
“I’m going to have a shower.” She walked around him toward the bathroom looking back at him at the door and grinned. Red X then gave a triumphant smile and walked toward the bathroom as well.
